You can start the day without caffeine
You can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
You can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
You can eat the same food every day and be grateful
You can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
You can over look it when those who love you take it out on you when, through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
You can take criticism and blame without resentment,
You can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him,
You can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
You can face the world without lies and deceit,
You can conquer tension without medical help,
You can relax without alcohol,
You can sleep without the aid of drugs,
You can honestly say that, deep in your heart, you have no prejudice against creed, colour, religion or politics,
Then my friend, you are almost as good as your dog!}

^{CREATION

When God made the Earth and sky, the flowers and the trees,

He then made all the animals, and all the birds & bees.

And when his work was finished, not one was quite the same,

He said, " I'll walk this earth of mine, and give each one a name."

And so he travelled land & sea, and everywhere he went,

a little creature followed him, until it's strength was spent.

When all were named upon the earth, and in the sky & sea,

the little creature said, "Dear Lord, there's not one left for me."

The father sniffed and softly said, " I've left you til the end,

I've turned my own name back to front, and called you Dog, my friend".
