24.12.02 Yesterday we received the official announcement from Estonian Kennel Union that our Pätu's ( Nattaset Blue Batman ) hips are scored A/A and elbows 0;0 . What a wonderful Christmas present we received !!! Congratulations Jaana to you for your work of breeding !

09.12.02 Congratulations to our Pätu's Daddy Pest ( Moon Magic Po Pengtsson )and his owners Jaana and Anna about BOB and the title : "Swedish Winner 2002" at Stockholm International Dogshow this passed Saturday !!!!
25.11.02 We had a terrific weekend !!! It is unbelievable !!! Yesterday our sweetheart Pätu won at International Dogshow in Riga , Latvia , all the other 5 dogs ( among which 2 champion class dogs ) being only 17 months old !!! He was Best of Breed under the Hungarian judge Mr. Vilmos Kardos and became 4-th ( altogether 6 breeds ) in FCI Group 7 competition . He also received the JUN CERT of Latvia , and now he is also the Latvian Junior Champion . Our journey to Latvia went very well . I have to say that I admire the work of Latvian Kennel Union about organising the dogshow . There was a plenty of room for the dogs and people , very nice show program with all kinds of agility and obedience competitions . The most important thing : the exact timetable was kept till the end . And the very outstanding and festive best in Show competition was the dot of the day !!!
11.11.02 New judge for setters - Galina Zhuk from Belorussia , added to the 2003 year dogshows page . Our Estonian Setterclub Clubshow will be held on the February,01-st,2003 in Tallinn . This time we are very happy , because the clubshow will be organised for all the setter-breeds ! The judge will be from Finland ,Kennel Kanelin - Mrs. Teija Parkko .
28.10.02 I have updated the Dogshows 2003 page with some new information about judges for English Setters during the year 2003 . During this weekend we were having nice time at Tallinn International Dogshow . The judge for English setters was Mrs.Anja Puumala from Finland . Our guest Nattaset That's Right ( Rick ) was BOB with CERT and CACIB , BIG 3-rd . Pätu's sister Lilli ( Nattaset Blue Catwoman ) received her last Estonian Junior CERT - so she become Estonian Junior Champion ! Congratulations to Rick and Lilli and their owners Katja , Jaana , Tarja !!! It was so nice to see some more Englishmen at our dogshow again .We also showed our dogs at Breeders class . In the end : BIS 3-rd at Breeders class is not the bad result either !!!
My sweetheart Pätu did not have a very good result this time - blue ribbon with grade 2 . As his description is not so very well written ( the judge did not like him at all ! The only good phrase at the description is : "good neck" ) , I won't put it up to this homepage this time .

25.09.02 During this passed weekend we had a trip to Aland with Batman . We participated at the Eckerö Dog Show on Saturday . The judge of the setters was Mr. Tamas Jakkel from Hungary . Batman received his second Finnish CERT and was placed Best male 2-nd . The show at Aland was organised very well . It is simply amazing ( comparing to our Estonian dogshows ) how it is possible to have such a plenty of room ( dogs and people ) and fresh air for everybody . The atmosphere of the show was just wonderful . Thank you , Jaana , for organising such a memorable trip for us !! I will try to write a small overview of the trip to this homepage and add some photos also . Aland is a very romantic and impressive island .The scenery is just fabulous !!! 11.09.02 Added the preliminary information about the 2003 year dogshows to the dogshows list .
10.09.02 During this passed weekend we had very lovely guests : Pätu's little sister Lilli with Jaana . We had great time participating at the Padise Show on Saturday .The weather was nice and sunny , although a little bit too hot for the dogs . Padise is a very nice place gleaming from the ancient flavour . The show was organised well . Lilli was Best of Breed Junior and received her second Junior CERT . Our Pätu was Best of Opposite Sex . 28.07.02 Yesterday we were at Narva National Dogshow with Pätu . What a long show day we had ! The judge from Belorussia came to the showring just before we arrived ,i.e. at about 1 o'clock p.m. ! The rumours tell she had some problems at the border , so she could not enter Estonia at first ! It ment that all the dogs had to wait for about 2-3 hours for the right judging time ! It was nice that there was so much space to take a walk and the weather was not so very hot . We also had very good companions ( the owners of Irish setters )- and therefore the time did not go so very slowly . Pätu received BOB Junior , but unfortunately we were not placed in the Best In Show competition for juniors .Our description is up on the Pätu's results page .
15.07.02 We had a very nice weekend with very lovely guests here in Estonia . And we had the Estonian Setter Club summerdays with special dogshow with the judge Mr. Karel Van Genechten from Belgium . The weather was so nice and sunny , the place Viitna is a very beautiful spot with the small lake for having summerdays . Altogether there were about 85 setters participating at the show .They say it is a record of all times ! The judge was really a specialist in setters : very thorough , strict and fair . All our dogs received very good results . And to finish the short abstract here , I would like to say : WE HAD A REAL PLEASURE AT THE SUMMERDAYS !!!
Now I would like to thank our companions at the summerdays for simply being very-very good companions !!! Thank you Jaana , Katja , Terhi , Tarja !!!
And I think the dogs : Lilli , Rusetti , Bisse , Jill , Elmo , Rick , our Max and Pätu were really happy running along the camping place and swimming in the lake !
With this show our sweetheart Pätu received his last Estonian Junior CERT and soon he will be officially named Estonian Junior Champion ( EST JUN CH ) !
13.07.02 New judge at the showpage : on 07.09.02 in Padise - Mrs. Natalja Gapanjuk-Nekroshiene ( Lithuania ).
01.07.02 During this passed Saturday we were at Rakvere National Show . Our judge was Mrs. Ljubov Terentjeva ( Russia ). Max did extremely well again ! He was BOB and BIG-3 . But our sweetheart Pätu received only blue ribbon with grade 2 ( very good )! Read the descriptions at Max's page and Pätu's page !
16.06.02 Yesterday we were at Pärnu International Show . The weather was sunny and very hot . We received very nice results again . This time the judge was from Lithuania - Mrs. Kornelia Butrimova . Pätu was BOB Junior and received his second Junior CERT ; Max was also BOB , gained CACIB and was placed 4-th at Group-7 competition . I am so-so proud of my dogs ! 13.06.02 During this passed Sunday we were having a picnic with some members of the Setter Club of Estonia at the place Purekkari , which is the most northern point of mainland in our country . WE HAD FUN !!!! It was so nice that all the colours of setters were present ( I mean Irish , Gordon and English ). The real laughing point was , when our setters ran free to one muddy ditch and started to bathe there ! Imagine our Max muddy all over ! But it was not a problem for us , because after the dogs could swim and wash themselves in the sea ... By the way , the water in the sea is already warm here !!!

02.06.02 Yesterday we were at Winner-2002 International Show in Tallinn . Our judge was Mr. Miklos Farkashazi from Hungary . What a day for us !!!! First of all Pätu won The title Best of Breed Junior , got his first Junior CAC and was placed among 5-10 Best Junior Dogs ( out of more than 20 dogs ) . Our Max won the Best of Breed title , got CACIB and his last , i.e. 3-rd CAC ! and was placed 4-th in Group 7 competition ( out of 7 dogs )!!! Now our Max could be Estonian Champion , but before official announcement he should pass the Obedience exams !
In the end Pätu received the title EST JW-02 ( Estonian Junior Winner-2002 ) and Max received the title ESTW-02 ( Estonian Winner-2002 )!!
Thank you Jaana and Congratulations ! - you have bred such nice progenies to your dogs!

17.05.02 A new interesting link with very beautiful English type English Setters from Hungary - Slow Fox English Setters .
11.05.02 While our Max was at home having fun with chasing stray cats , Pätu and me were attending the Kohtla-Järve National Show . And we are very happy , because we received very good results from judge Mr. Jevgeni Kupljauskas : Pätu was the Best of Breed Junior !!! As I have had slight problems with translating the description from Russian language and I have to ask some more professional Russian language specialist to translate this text , I can add the description only after about some days .
The next time we are going to take part in shows here , we will start competing for Junior CERT . It is quite interesting and a challange in a way : from 01.06.2002 the Kennel Union of Estonia will give the title of JUNIOR CHAMPION to a dog who will receive 3 Junior CERTS during the so-called "Junior age" , i.e. from 9-18 months . If the dog has received 3 Junior CERTS , he will be the Champion in the open class with only one more "adult" CERT ! Of course in the "adult" class the dog has to pass Obedience exams in the beginner class also .
And we are really lucky that Pätu has still time to compete for these 3 JUNIOR CERTS !!!

28.03.02 We just read from Piret Kõima's lovely homepage Field of Dreams Irish Setters the news that our Max has been given the honour to be on the placement 3-rd among all male setters in Estonia ! This is of course a great achievement indeed ! Full results about the TOP-show setters of 2001 can be seen at Piret's homepage .
I have added a new page about obedience training , at the moment the text is in the Estonian language , but the translation into English will be coming soon . Very interesting old photos of first Laverack setters I have added to breed information page .
18.03.02 During this weekend we were visiting Pätu's Mom , Daddy and sisters in Finland . And during this visit we were also having a good time at Tampere International Show . First of all -Thank you Jaana for your kindness and for organising this nice staying in Finland . It was really a pleasure to meet so many nice people and English Setters of course . In spite of the very sad news about the changes of the judge at Tampere show , the only very few setters did change their minds not to come and participate . The new judge was Mr. Jeffrey Coupe ( England ) , who is really a very well-known specialist on setters . We really appreciate his opinion about setters very much !!! Here is Pätu's this time result and description . Pätu got his first CERT in Tampere just at his 9-months birthday !!! What a pleasant birthday present we had !!!!
Max was so-so happy to see his companion and brother-in-soul again at Sunday after some days , that the both dogs played and ran like crazy around our yard for several hours . They made themselves so muddy - twice I had to wash them all over during one evening !
I simply have no words how to thank you , Jaana , for our cute and lovely boy !!!!
04.03.02 Yesterday we were at Triigi ( near Rakvere ) showing Pätu as a puppy for the last time . At the next show he will be a "junior" ( he will have his 9-months birthday coming soon ! ). Oh , the rooms were so crowded , the heating system was switched to maximum , no fresh air at all ... the conditions to hold a show were awful , more than 300 dogs with different characters were kept in a small hall . But in spite of the conditions the organisers were very nice . What is most important we did receive good results !!!
Pätu got the prize : Best of Breed Puppy , hurrah !! , we are so , so happy !!!
The weather here in our country is very fine , one can smell the coming spring already ... So , we spent our Saturday outdoors having a long walk with dogs running off leash . The smells of spring made our Max "crazy" - he decided to follow his instincts and was away quite a long time . After a long waiting he did came back happy as ever after !!!! The thing to learn from here is : your English Setter is a hunting dog with sometimes very stubborn thoughts ! The owner has to be very careful with that !
26.02.02 There has been an announcement about the judge of Setter Special Show held at 13.07.2002 in our country - and the judge is K.Van Genechten ( Belgium ) .
27.01.02 The weather in our country was awful for weeks - it was rainy and warm - not very good for having long walks with English Setters . But now we have a real cold nice winter again . So , yesterday we took a long walk into the woods . Oh boy , Batman and Max loved to run wild and free ! There were so many good smells for them to catch . And we were really-really tired afterwards ...

20.01.02 I have added a new judge to the show list : at 11.05.02 Show in Kohtla-Järve the English Setters will be judged by Jevgeni Kupljauskas ( Russia) .
So we were there : at Kohtla-Järve on 19.01. The rooms were too crowded : too much dogs in too little room . And we did not get the very best results . But Pätu got much experience and was a very brave and well behaving youngster ! The descriptions are up on the results pages . By the way , please pay attention to Mrs. Lilian Hanniste's descriptions : almost the same as a month ago , only a beautiful preposition "very" ( in Estonian : "väga" ) is missing from the newest text . I do not know , if we need to go to the next show in Tallinn - the judge will be Hanniste again .

03.12.01 Yesterday we were at Puppy & Veteran Christmas Show in Tallinn organized by Estonian Kennelliit . This was Pätu's first show to attend . We really did great ! Here are our results and the description . All our guests were also having fun at the show : Elmo , the most elegant Englishman , was the Best of Breed Veteran and Lätty , the forever young gentleman , got the price Best of Breed Veteran too . And Lilli got a very good description and was placed 2-nd at her age class .
We had very nice guests during the weekend : Elmo , Lätty with their owner Jaana and Pätu's little sister Lilli with her owner Katja !! It was so nice to see you Jaana and Katja and the dogs again after quite a time ! I really hope we could meet again soon !!! And Pätu had great time playing with Lilli !

Today we had very nice guests : Juht Desiree ( Dess ) with her owners Kätlin and Tiina . Dess is 6 months old fine Labrador Retriever lady . Although the weather was awful : it was raining all the time , Dess , Pätu and Max had a very good time together . Pätu was the smallest , so he could not run so fast and play "tough" games , but it was fun ! I took some pictures and hope to put them up here soon . 03.09.01 So , yesterday we were at Padise , a very beautiful and historic spot in Estonia , to take part in a dogshow . And it really went very well for Max . He got his 2-nd CAC and the title Best of Breed and in spite of terrible showing at Group competition - we were placed 3-rd !!! That is really something for us , isn't it ?! Oh boy , we were really tired in the evening ... Here you can read our description .

26.08.01 Yesterday we were participating with Max at Tallinn International Dog Show .The judge was Jochen H. Eberhardt from Germany . Again Max was the only English Setter ! Where are the other English Setters in Estonia ?!? It is interesting that there is always something missing from our showing . This time the judge said that hunting dogs must have more happiness in them ! But , we were really doing great : Max was behaveing really well , he even stood behind the judge . I am so glad that there has been some use of our efforts in training to show ! Here are our results

16.08.01 Today is Batman's birthday . He is now 2 months old .
14.08.01 Batman has been to our house for the second day today . Our journey from Finland went really very well .

And Batman is a real hero - he tolerated all the long ( about 500 km driving by car ) journey very well. It is so peculiar how a big dog ( our Max ) plays with a 10 times smaller puppy : he lies down and lets himself bite and tear from hair . Then he even turns himself to the back , paws upwards , and lets Batman to "conquer" him . And then Batman feels like a real hero , he barks and growls !! It is so much fun for them ! Then Max takes a toy and lets Batman grab it and have it too . It is so interesting to watch these two dogs communicating ! I will start taking photos of these two fellows soon . So , be in touch !

On 16.06.01 at Nattaset Kennel were born 3 cute English Setter puppies . One of these , Batman , is going to be a brother in soul to Max at our home in August ! Impatiently waiting for August already !
